From all 13 hens we wanted to say how much we loved staying at BlueHills. Everything was perfect from the views and weather to the very much needed facilities, especially the utility room where our beers and wines were chilled all weekend :)
A big thankyou to the owners who were very helpful, even letting us borrow their wind breaker to help keep our bbq alight!
We were all sad to leave and I'm sure you'll see some of us in the future it was a top weekend.

Had a short weekend at Blue Hills in the last days of November. The owners were there to welcome us. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed our stay. Can't fault the place at all, we had the whole site to ourselves also!

Stayed at the site August bank Holiday lovely site with great access to the coast path and dog friendly. Ginny and Martin were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Shower blocks, toilets and sink washing area were nice although looking a bit tired in places but were always kept very clean. Showers were a bit cool for me but i do like a hot shower. Great addition of free washing up liquid as we forgot our own. All in all a great place and will be going back again next year for sure. Thanks Again!!

A little piece of heaven/Ginny and Martin are the most welcoming couple you will ever have the good fortune to meet/exceptional facilities and superbly kept friendly site/attention to detail/dog friendly/feels like home ... Since my visit at the beginning of July 2014 I've had a difficult time writing this review, so as not to end up writing an essay. Suffice to say, I echo what countless other reviewers have written. Why not see for yourself? You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to return.

This is such a wonderful site. The owners are extremely welcoming. The music in the shower block and similar touches such as free use of fridge and plug sockets are a pleasant change to other sites. The location is great. There is the opportunity to watch the sunset from the cliff tops just a two minute walk away which is just stunning.

Just returned from a fabulous week at Blue Hills touring park. I would like to say a huge thank you to Martin and Ginny and of course Harley for helping making our stay welcoming and very comfortable. Keep up the good work guys, you're doing a fantastic job.
We'll be booking our 2015 stay very soon!
Thanks again, you are wonderful hosts.
See you all soon!

This is a lovely, compact site with affable owners who are in attendance all day. They regularly check the site for cleanliness and the amenities are all close to whichever field you are in. The fridge/freezer use is a thoughtful touch but the freezer was a little over subscribed! Free showers and hot water for washing up was much appreciated. The field we were in was idyllic although a little sloped. I try not to visit the same site twice but I would make an exception for this one.

One and all

We recently had the most lovely week at the site; luckily for us we managed to book via a late cancellation.

Without ruining the site for all those who know the place, id happily recommend the place to complete strangers, truly wonderful and what a location; perfect.

Such a shame we have to await another 11 months (and counting) until we can return

We looked for a quiet campsite near a not-so-big, Cornish beachresort. Perranporth and Blue Hills Touring Park were the perfect combination. My kids could ride their mountainbikes on the park and outside. All facilities were more than sufficient. My kids adored the music in toillet-block. Any information could be received from Ginny and Martin. We had a broken part on one off the bikes and then were sent to Truro, where the local bike-shop helped us very quickly on a busy saturday-afternoon.
It needs only 1 minute to get to the wonderfull "Pacific Coast-Path", just behind the campground.

This site is heaven.
Gini And Martin are super friendly, helpful and informative . The site is kept tip top , is quiet and is a perfect location for exploring St Agnes and Perranporth by foot. There are some great walks down to to the beach which have stunning views. After spending 10 days here we really didn't want to leave.
The prices do not break the bank and in my view a tadge cheaper than other sites which are not as good ( but dont tell Gini & Martin )lol.
This guest book signing is not just for Gini and Martin to read but for anyone thinking of visiting Cornwall.
STAY AT THIS SITE > ITS PERFECT
If visiting Cornwall don't miss out this site. This site is perfect for short stays but better for using as a base to discover all that Cornwall has to offer. This site is also great for sitting outside your van on a hot sunny day with Gini And Martin always there to help. Any time of the day there was always hot water in the shower and they were always spotless This site is sheltered on all sides and gets long sunny hours.
A little work on some loose floor tiles in the gents shower was the only fault we could find.
Fresh flowers and the local radio station playing in the toilet blocks just goes to show that the Gini and Martin pay every attention to every detail to make your stay just simply the best .
It don't come more perfect than this site.
We will definitely be returning.

Back for another stay at this wonderful campsite. Ginny and Martin are a very welcoming and helpful couple...Gary and Lou have passed the place into very good hands. Our stay just wasn't long enough. A nice new touch is having the field where children can go and play safely with a ball.
We are looking forward to coming back again.

Just back from a great weekend break at Blue Hills Camp site St Agnes. Very impressed by new owners hospitality and welcome from the moment of booking through to us leaving - nothing was too much trouble. Owners even allowed us to stay on pitch till afternoon at nil extra charge as the site was fairly quiet. We liked owners touch of their personal meet and greet and checking you are happy with allocated pitch. As previous reviewers state you are equipped with washing up liquid, scourers, bowls and drainers are provided free for campers to use. Add in music in toilet/shower facilities. The campsite suited out personal needs allowing us to try out our new tent and chill out and relax. Pitch sizes were adequate, facilities were somewhat basic and aged but all were very clean and hygienic. The grass and approach roads were regularly attended to and cared for. I particularly liked them having the chemical waste facility in a separate gated field was thoughtful here, having been to some other campsites where the chemical waste area is almost on top of campers. My one thought of caution would be to those looking to book in High Season - there appeared to be a lot of pitches at the site yet had only 3 shower cubicles per sex and only 2 washing up sinks. All in all a good value for money site near to the many attractions offered by nearby Perranporth, St Agnes and nearby Newquay. I recommend this site to campers of all ages who seek peace and quiet and a base to visit the West Cornwall coastline - be it a 1 nights stay or 2 weeks. I will be back again and have no hesitation in recommending now to family and friends.

Hello. Just a note to say the guestbook is now back online having taken a break whilst the change of ownership took place at Blue Hills. We aim to keep the touring site the same as always, why change what works well! We look forward to seeing your comments after what we hope is a good stay with us. Best wishes, Ginny & Martin Brant – Blue Hills Touring Park.

  • As usual had a lovely time there and walking the cliffs. Our favourite place. Thankyou. My uncles, father and grandfather lived nearby keeping the Mithian village shop going and you have treated us so well through the years. Thought we were getting to old to camp so missed a few years. With pension offered an old Hymer so starting all over again!

We are so looking forward to making a return visit.

We have just got back from a 10 day camping holiday @ Bluehills. What a gem of a site it was. It was spotlessly clean, quiet and friendly, One of the best sites we have stayed at in a long time. We were shown around the site which featured fridge/freezers, microwave and even washing up liquid with dish cloths and scourers. The showers were free and always hot no matter what time of day you went. The cliff walks were amazing too. The views were outstanding, we even saw dolphins whilst walking to Chapel Porth.
We would most certainly recommend this site to anyone.
We will most certainly be coming back

Just back from Blue Hills, the best campsite ive stayed on. The facilities were great free shower and fridges.. The views from the coastal path are out off this world. Hopefully will return next year. Thanks for a great week.

Many thanks for yet another enjoyable stay; Blue Hills never disappoints.

The "welcome" that one receives could well be used as good practise by other sites. You always feel as though your custom is valued which contrasts well with the appalling reception that we have received from other sites.

"Happy Valley" does not seem to change and is still as I remember it from many years ago.

All in all, one of our top 5 sites and that includes the whole of Europe as well

  • Steve and Jan says:

Just wish to point out I'll be returning to Blue Hills next week for the third time in the past 3 years. What better recommendation can I give.

  • eric b says:

Thanks for a lovely time at your site, we felt most welcome and had a relaxing brake. Your facilities were ample and clean. Its location to the cliff walks and local bay were ideal for a get away for a few hours. Don't recomemd fishing as sea bed is very rocky and there is plenty of old rigs in the water. We hope to see you next year

Just got back from one of the best weekends ever. Quite challenging to find a campsite who takes large groups of teenagers (11 of us) but Blue Hills was perfect; proper chilled. Wonderful people, wonderful breakfast, wonderful location (close to Perranporth and about a minute walk away from the coast – excellent for watching the sunset!), all you need. Also nice hot showers; great after swimming in the sea in April 😉 We couldn't have had a better time and we hope to see you again…

ps. we'll try and bring the amazing weather with us again next time 😀

My family and I recently returned from this site after an enjoyable two weeks away. We chose this site based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. The site is clean and well maintained and it was lovely to have fresh flowers in the loos in the morning. The site is also off the main road which means it a really nice quiet site although you do get the occasion small plane fly overhead from the nearby aerodrome (but hey! how many times can you say you get that sort of thing at home). Overall a highly recommended site that provides an ideal base for explore all Cornwall has to offer.

The site is situated well between St Agnes and Perranporth and is situated not far from the stunning cliff tops of the northern coast of Cornwall. A walk behind the site will lead to up to the cliffs and from here you can walk along the coast to either Perranporth or St Agnes. The views are stunning and well worth a look especially towards the end of a day after dinner.

If you are looking for a nice meal then defiantly try The Railway Inn in St Agnes. We had a super meal here and the atmosphere was very calming and relaxing. A really great way to finish off a our holiday.

We had a fantastic time! The campsite is lovely and clean, fresh flowers in the toilet/shower block is a lovely touch and I particularly love the ethnic towel hooks in the shower cubicles. We went for an indian at the restaurant recommended in Perrenporth on our last nite – yummy!

It was our fist time at Blue hills, and although the weather was pretty poor the campsite its self was every thing and more of what we wanted..

Very clean, good pitch layout, close to the beach, etc and most of all the owners were very helpfull and great.. Thanks for a great stay we will be back very shortly.

Just back from a week at Blue Hills, had to leave a message to say what a great site this is, well run, clean, simple and not commercialised. With St Agnes and Perranporth on the doorstep this is a hidden gem, I'd reccomend this site to anyone with a love of the outdoors who wants to avoid commercialism.

I have been to this campsite with my family a great number of times over the last 17 years and as we have progressed from tent to caravan, have found it absolutely fantastic. My parents have also stayed at the same site in previous years and we have all found it excellent. It is a very friendly, quiet location near to beaches, walks and all the conveniences and throughout the time I have spent there, and as it has changed hands a few times, the level of service has remained brilliant. Everyone is friendly and helpful and I can't wait to return for my annual holiday two days from now!

  • Phil Carter says:

My wife and I have just come back from spending 10 days at this site sn to be honest it has to be the best site we have stayed on. The site is just a little walk from the beach and which has some of the best Sun-sets I have ever seen. the site is very clean and the showers are great and the washing up facilitys are a great bonus. what we also was very impressed about is as we were there it was bank holiday and they didn't cram people in to get the most money as I have seen on other sites. so all in all this is a top site and if you go you WILL want to go again as we will be booking for next year! phil n sarah
